Source and terms ↗How to receive the welcome bonus
For each half of the bonus, make at least one purchase of €1 or more every month during its six-month period (months 1–6 or 7–12), plus a purchase in the payout month (7 or 13). Missing a month means losing that half. The card must be approved and remain active when the bonus is paid.
The welcome bonus is for new cardholders who have not held an AMEX card, including an additional card, in the past 12 months. Referral bonuses require applying through the referral link. Always read that offer’s full terms. Regular annual XP is separate from any extra campaign XP.

Centurion Lounge at Schiphol
The Centurion Lounge at Amsterdam Schiphol opened on 17 September 2026. It is located between piers E and F. AMEX lists access for Platinum cardmembers departing to a non-Schengen destination on the day of their visit. Check the current entry and guest conditions before travelling.

AMEX lounge information and entry conditions ↗Who could this suit?
Travellers who use lounges, Privium, hotel status and insurance and are considering a higher fee for those benefits.
Judge the recurring contribution against benefits you will actually use. A welcome bonus is temporary and does not change the match score.
